Thursday Block Parties and Sunday Markets
Ever notice that at the start of the summer, people plan things for “after the Fourth of July”? It seems like that date is a marker that segments the summer into two parts around which people are comfortable making plans. Well, here we are, “after the Fourth of July” – but don’t fret! We’d like to remind you that there’s still plenty of summer fun to be had weekly at the Boston Calling Block Parties and the Sunday afternoon South End Open Markets.
We want to keep you up to date with everything happening with these two WICKED awesome events all summer long, whether it’s a new shop stop, band or wine selection.
Have you been to a Boston Calling Block Party yet? Hosted EVERY Thursday from 5-8PM at Dewey Square on Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, enjoy live music, $4 beer and wine, and some WICKED fun games in the sunshine. There’s no better way in the city to kick off your weekend with co-workers or friends. Each week there are new local bands that will be playing their hearts out and keeping up the WICKED good vibes throughout the entire summer.
We’re also excited about the new announcement made last week that the Boston Celtics are joining the block parties for the entire month of July. Unfortunately, Kevin Durant won’t be there, but come hang and mourn that loss with some fellow Cs fans.
The beer and wine bar has a rotating selection, providing you with fresh new choices. We’ve recently switched up flavors by adding a few of our classic favorites – Wicked Cabernet Sauvignon, Wicked Pinot Grigio and Wicked Rosé. Some weeks [when you’re lucky] the Wicked Street Team will be at the lawn hosting a tasting of the wines we haven’t brought to the party yet!
And don’t forget about the South End Market happening every Sunday from 11AM to 4PM. With the market’s new location at INK BLOCK – 375 Harrison Ave in Boston – we’re in the center of it all! Every week the market features 120 artists and designers, 14 food trucks, 20 farm and specialty food vendors and 10 vintage and antique dealers. You can sip on beer, hard cider, mimosas and wine while perusing the site’s many vendors, effectively making the South End Open Market at Ink Block Boston the biggest [and best] beer garden in Boston! Wicked Wines will be continuing to serve our Wicked Rosé and mimosas!
With so many fun events and activities going on in the city we love, how can you not shut your laptop an hour early and head down to the Block Party on Thursday or the South End Market on Sunday? See you there!
