#FBF Red Sox Foundation Golf Tourney
With the Jason Varitek & Friends Golf Classic right around the corner, we thought it’d be fun to flashback to last July at the Red Sox Foundation Golf 
Tournament. The third annual event was held at the Belmont Country Club and was hosted by Tim Wakefield. Between donations from the generous fans of Red Sox Nation and RSF, the Red Sox have been able to raise and distribute millions of dollars to support programs that help kids, families and veterans throughout New England. The Red Sox Foundation works closely with many outstanding institutions including The Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Red Sox Scholars and Mass General Home Base Program for veterans with post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
Last year we were lucky enough to be able to sponsor the event and make a WICKED tasty red sangria alongside a few other Global Wines’ favorites! Golfers in the tournament took at moment at the last hole to enjoy a little refreshment with us. They were delighted with our Wicked Pinot Grigio, Wicked Grenache, Cape Cod Bay Rosé and Cape Cod Bay Prosecco. We hung out with local celebrities like Shawn 
Thornton and Lenny Clarke and snagged an autograph from the Knuckleball King himself! I believe a direct quote from Mr. Wakefield was, “Where can I get a case of that Wicked Grenache?!” (Try our Wicked Juicy Grenache to get a taste of what we like to call ‘Tim’s pick’.)
This upcoming year, Global Wines will be supporting the Jason Varitek & Friends Golf Classic and will be pouring a few summer Wickeds, a Prosecco and some of our favorite whites from the portfolio. We’re WICKED excited to spend a day out on the course with Jason Varitek and some of the surprise guests that will be playing and supporting a great cause.
