Summertime in the Seaport

Summertime in the Seaport

Nothing says summer like seafood in the seaport! OK, and Italian, Mexican, Japanese, and of course, wine. Over the past few years, Boston’s Seaport District has been booming with restaurant and bar openings. It’s gone from “up and coming” to “where else would you be?” We’ve highlighted our favorite restaurants from dine in to take out, with their best wines to order – make sure you make it to them all before the cold weather comes back!

No Name Restaurant

A classic New England seafood joint (that’s been in business for 100 years!) with typical coastal atmosphere and the best lobster south of Maine. Order a steamed lobster with a side of fried scallops and shrimp and pair it with a glass of Pinot Grigio. Don’t forget that bib!

Tamo Bistro & Bar

Located waterside in the Seaport Hotel, Tamo gives off a swanky atmosphere, perfect for a group, especially with its vast menu and list of creative cocktails. If you’re craving it, they serve it. From burgers to pizza to tacos or sushi, they have something for everyone. Our favorite pick? Try any of their sushi rolls with a glass of Chateau Ribaute Rosé, or go for the seasonal lobster roll with a glass of Lavau Cotes du Rhone.

Frank Anthony’s Gourmet Market

The go-to for a quick, yet delicious sandwich, salad or smoothie. All gourmet, all affordable. They also have a variety of gourmet cheeses and meats, prepared meals and other groceries. Perfect place to shop before hosting a party (they cater as well!) – don’t forget the wine! Their extensive wine shop will have you browsing for hours – check out our top picks to help you save some time: Le Versant Rose, Le Versant Pinot Noir, Le Versant Chardonnay, Alturis Pinot Grigio, Projection Cabernet, ERA Prosecco and so so much more!

Pastoral

For organic and authentic Artisan Neapolitan brick oven pizzas and other amazing Italian dishes – this is the place to be. You’ll be pleased with anything you order here – but here are a few of our favorites:

Proscuitto Pizza – order with Alturis Sauvignon Blanc

Fennel Sausage Pizza – pair with a glass of Alturis Cabernet Sauvignon

Lemon Pizza – with a glass of Borgo del Col Alto Prosecco

Fort Point Market

Your dreams have come true – a liquor store that delivers to your door! Or take a nice walk down to the seaport to check out the fresh organic fruits and produce they have to offer – perfect sides to your wine on a hot day! With an extensive list of wines, they’ve got something for everyone. Our go-to’s are the ERA Organics and the Cuvee Dedicace Rose.

While our summer days are dwindling down, make sure you stop by any of these to soak up that seaport breeze!
