This Friday night at 5PM the gates are opening to kick off the biggest music weekend in Boston. The Boston Calling Music Festival only happens twice a year and we’re getting ready to make this the weekend you’ll remember. The three day extravaganza has people lining up after lunch to stand front row to rage with their favorite performers. Everyone’s making new friends, talking about artists and anticipating their first official weekend of summer ’16.
Kicking off the festival will be Sufjan Stevens and Sia performing on the two of the three large stages that are throughout City Hall Plaza. During the day everyone is mingling with the various vendors, winning free T-shirts and indulging in local favorites such as Tasty Burger, Ruth’s Chris, Sam Adams and of course Wicked Wines. This year the third stage will host comedic acts that will be sprinkled in-between the music superstars. Boston comedian Lamont Price, who was dubbed a “Comedian to Watch” by Comedy Central, will be the host on the third stage paired with other acts from Ken Reid, Sean Sullivan, Orlando Baxter and Kelly McFarland.
Wicked Wines is more than amped up for our seventh biannual weekend of fun – with our beverages being served at both general admission and VIP. Our best sellers, Pinot Grigio and Merlot will be at all the general admission bars and we will also be serving Rose and Cabernet Sauvignon in the VIP section. Stop by the WICKED tent and spin our wheel to win free swag (coozies, t-shirts, lanyards and bags)! We are also thrilled to be taking over @OnlyInBOS Snapchat for a few hours throughout the event! The infamous social media celebrity will be roaming around throughout the three day weekend – be sure to toss him a follow on Twitter and add him on Snapchat to see our live updates!
This year’s Boston Calling event was made for wine lovers! There will be a brand new Wine Pavilion where the festival’s staple, Wicked Wines, will be joined by Wine Riot. Together, we will be featuring wine from across the country and around the globe.
As Boston Calling comes to an end, watch out for performances from Elle King, Disclosure, Robyn and HAIM – and don’t forget to come by the tent, meet the crew and grab a glass of Wicked Wine. Connect with us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to stay tuned throughout this WICKED awesome event!
